Blood Draw
approximately 16mL of blood is drawn from the arm, similar to a routine blood test
PRP has been a standard non-surgical hair loss treatment for years. It works by injecting platelet-rich plasma from your own blood, processed back into the scalp. The problem is what comes along with the platelets. Red blood cells, white blood cells, plasma proteins all of it gets injected too. The growth factors that actually do the work are diluted within a mixture of components that don't contribute to hair regeneration. GFC isolates just the growth factors. Nothing else. Using a proprietary tube system, Growth Factor Concentrate extracts pure, highly concentrated growth factors from the patient's blood and delivers them directly into the scalp with no dilution, no contaminants. The result is a more potent treatment that typically achieves the same outcome in 3–4 sessions rather than the 6–8 a standard PRP course requires. Must be performed by a dermatologist or trichologist. Cost ranges from ₹20,000 to ₹1,00,000. Available at DMC Trichology in Vasant Vihar (South Delhi) and Rajouri Garden (West Delhi).
This treatment may not be suitable for individuals with certain scalp, autoimmune, liver, or blood-related conditions that could affect treatment outcomes.

blood is collected in specialised GFC tubes, mixed, and left undisturbed for 30 minutes to activate and release the growth factors
tubes are centrifuged for around 10 minutes, separating and concentrating the pure growth factors
7–8mL of the concentrated output is injected into the affected scalp areas
3–4 sessions spaced 30–45 days apart; booster sessions every 2–3 months after that for maintenance
VEGF develops new blood vessels around hair follicles during the active growth phase improving the follicle's nutrient supply directly.
EGF drives growth and renewal of hair cells and stimulates angiogenesis, the formation of new capillaries in the scalp.
PDGF promotes hair development, vascularisation, and proliferation of collagen-producing fibroblasts in the scalp tissue.
IGF-1 supports overall hair growth, maintains follicle health, and acts as an additional angiogenesis stimulant.
| PRP | GFC | |
|---|---|---|
| What gets injected | Platelet-rich plasma whole | Pure concentrated growth factors only |
| Preparation time | ~20 minutes | ~40 minutes activation + centrifugation |
| Growth factor concentration | Moderate | Higher — fewer contaminants |
| Sessions typically needed | 6–8 | 3–4 |
| Purity | Variable | Non-pyrogenic, contaminant-free |
PRP injects whole platelet-rich plasma growth factors mixed in with platelets and other blood components. GFC uses a specialised activation and isolation process to extract pure growth factors only. The result is a more concentrated, contaminant-free injectable that typically delivers better outcomes in fewer sessions.
Usually 3–4 sessions, spaced 30–45 days apart. Booster sessions every 2–3 months after the initial course maintain the results long term.
The injections involve minimal discomfort. There's no extensive recovery and most patients resume normal activities the same day.
High though it varies by patient depending on underlying cause, overall health, and how consistently the treatment plan is followed. Patients who complete the full recommended course see the best results.
Between ₹20,000 and ₹1,00,000 depending on session count, clinic location, and the trichologist involved. An exact quote is provided at consultation after the scalp assessment.
